Rank You Reiki Business On The First Page Of Google in 10 Minutes

You probably don't know this about me but I got my Reiki attunement about a year ago and have been working on and off with the Reiki energy since. One of my really good friends is a Reiki Master, and in fact my Reiki Master as she did my attunement.   It's a really powerful healing method and is becoming increasingly accepted now and rising in popularity (see pic below) which can only be a good thing.

So, if you have started a Reiki business then it's a good thing to know that there are lots of people out there looking for your service.  The picture below is a screen shot of Google Trends interest over time.  This shows the trend of people searching for "Reiki near me" on Google.co.uk. 

As you can see Reiki is growing in popularity.  So, if you own a Reiki business then you are going to want your business to come up on Google when people type "Reiki near me". 

​This article will walk you through the steps necessary to rank your business on the first page of Google in 10 minutes or less for "Reiki near me". If you’re ready to take action, keep reading!

The first step to ranking your business on Google is to claim and optimize your Google My Business page. Google My Business is the hub for all local businesses that want to get found on Google.

This includes your business’s address, hours of operation, customer reviews, and business photos.  When you claim your business’s Google My Business page, you’re giving Google your business’s information so they can start showing you in search results, particularly in local search results which are returned when your potential customers type "Reiki near me" into Google.

Once your Google My Business page is claimed, you can start optimizing it to increase your chances of appearing on the first page of Google.

Step 1: Claim your Google My Business page

To claim your Google My Business page, follow these steps: - Open up Google and type in your business name or keywords. - If your business appears in the search results, click on your business’s listing. - If your business does not appear in the search results, type “business name” plus “Google My Business” in the search bar. - When your business’s Google My Business page appears, click “Add” to claim your business’s page.

If this does not work and you are not able to find your Google My Business page then you just simply add your business to Google through Google Maps.  Type in your business address, if you work from home then type your home address. 

Click on the menu item on the left hand side (pictured above) and you will see "Add your business".  Click here and a window will open up for you to create your Google My Business listing (also pictured above).

Step 2: Add in your location information

When you add in your location information, you’re specifying where your business is located. When people search for businesses that are close to them, they want those businesses to show up in the search results.

​If your target audience doesn’t know where you’re located, they’re not going to go out of their way to go to your business.

Make it easy for your customers to find you by adding in your location information. Here’s how you can do this with your Google My Business page: - On your Google My Business page, click “Edit” near the top of your page. - Select “Add another location” to add in your business’s address.

Step 3: Add in your business’s basic info and services

Google uses your business’s basic info and services to create rich snippets. These rich snippets are what appear in search results when people click on your business’s name.

Depending on the search results, these rich snippets might be what catches your customers’ attention and gets them to click to your website. If you want your customers to click on your business as soon as they see search results, you need to make sure your rich snippets are attention-grabbing and compelling.

​You can do this by adding in your business’s basic info and services. Here’s how you can do this on your Google My Business page: - Click on “Edit” next to your business address. - Click on “Basic Info” and “Services” to add in your business’s information.

Step 4: Add in your business photos and video

​Adding in your business photos can help improve your Google My Business page’s quality. If your page has a low quality rating, it won’t show up in search results.

A low quality rating can be caused by having a low-resolution image, not having any images, or having a generic image that doesn’t represent your business well.

These low-quality ratings can be easily avoided by adding high-quality images that specifically represent your business. Here’s how you can add in your business photos on your Google My Business page: - Click on “Edit” next to your business address. - Click on “Photos” and “Videos” to add in your images and video.

As you can see, ranking your Reiki business on the first page of Google can be achieved by following a few basic steps which should only take you 10 minutes.

Claim your Google My Business page, add in your location information, add in your business’s basic info and services, and add in your business photos and video. Once you’ve done this, you can check back in a few days and see if your Reiki business appears for local search terms like "Reiki near me".
