Tell us about Release Hypnotherapy, what do you help people with, how long have you been in business and where are you based?
I'm one of a very small number of hypnotherapists to hold an MSc in Clinical Hypnotherapy. In addition to being a full-time hypnotherapist, Garry has consulted for over 17 years at a major UK hospital, practising with thousands of cancer patients, specialising in oncology- based hypnosis work for patients throughout their entire cancer journey. The UK Hypnosis Convention in 2016 claimed Garry to be amongst the top 30 hypnotherapists in the world! In addition to the hospital, Garry has five busy practices in London and the Southeast of the UK, including one based within a GP surgery. Garry is a regular presenter, worldwide, at conferences and conventions as well as presenting his own popular masterclasses. Can you tell us, why you started Release Hypnotherapy and what led you to go down this path? It started as an interest and I seemed to be in the right place at the right time, to learn more, to give more back and to progress. How does your business benefit your local community? By helping people improve their lives psychologically to achieve their goals. With the oncology work it is to empower patients (and family members) to help them through their journey. It improves the wide community as I travel around the world teaching others (doctors, psychologists and hypnotherapists) how to utilise hypnosis for the cancer journey. Whats your favourite part of running Release Hypnotherapy See the amazing results I achieve with patients and clients. Also like to travel the world presenting and teaching! Whats your least favourite part of running Release Hypnotherapy Time constraints – only being one of me! If you were talking to someone who was just starting out in your field, what advice would you give them? It depends if they were looking to become a therapist or to be involved in hypno-oncology work. If they wanted to become a therapist, I’d suggest finding a training school that does live, in person training rather than online. If they want to become involved in oncology, come and train with me. Can you tell us which one or two marketing activities have brought in new clients? Presenting at conferences around the world and being interviewed for podcasts. Finally, how can people get in touch with you? Can you list your website and social media channels here.
